We are pleased to announce that thanks to grant funding provided by the Spring Creek Environmental and Preservation Fund of the
Greater Washington Community Foundation and the
395 Express Lanes Community Grant Program, we have new boats and a 'kayak barn' stationed near the north end of Commonwealth Avenue in Alexandria! Our inaugural 2019 kayak clean-up event, on Saturday, May 4, was a great success, with nearly 200 pounds of mostly plastic bottles removed from the Run.

Six volunteer kayak clean-up opportunities are scheduled through July, with more to be added in August.
REGISTRATION opens two to four weeks in advance for each event. Upcoming dates:
